Critically acclaimed, multi-platinum singer-songwriter John Legend joins the jazzopen for the second time, closing the event’s Friday in July 2020 after his 2007 appearance.

His albums, starting with Get Lifted, are all highly successful. The single All of Me alone has sold more than nine million copies. In addition to being a recording artist, John Legend works as a producer, composer - and as an actor. In the comedy Soul Men he plays alongside Samuel L. Jackson, in the Oscar-winning La La Land with Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling he not only appears as supporting role, he also contributes the song Start a Fire from the soundtrack. In 2018, he played the star role in NBCs Jesus Christ Superstar Live!

Inevitably, his trophy collection is getting bigger and bigger. Legend has won ten Grammy Awards, an Oscar (best movie song Glory from the movie Selma), an Emmy Award and a Tony Award, making him an EGOT winner.

Jessie J - The Voice
British pop singer Jessie J is often mentioned as having one of the most outstanding voices in music. The multi award winning artist has won most music awards to include the Brits and has had many platinum selling records with songs like Price Tag, Domino & Bang Bang. She has sold over 23 million records which have made her a worldwide name. Apart from being a multi-talented singer and performer, she is also a respected songwriter and has written for many artists including Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus, amongst others.
From her first single Do It Like a Dude and first album Who You Are released in 2011, Jessie has achieved success in all territories worldwide playing every major festival and sell out tours. Aside from the music, Jessie has been a judge on The Voice in the UK and Australia and also won the biggest singing show in the world in China when she won ‘The Singer’ to a 1 billion viewing audience. Her third album R.O.S.E. was released last year and she has a new music coming in 2020.
