Aaron Parks Little Big, with their new drummer Jongkuk Kim, is releasing their third album and first with Blue Note Records. The album emphasizes collective identity and communication in the moment, featuring compositions by Parks, Tuohey, and Ginyard. The band spent time rehearsing intensely before recording at Dreamland Studio. The music blends structure with spontaneity, creating a loose and open sound. The band has transcended genres, incorporating non-jazz influences in a way that feels riskier and more vibrant, marking a new phase in their musical evolution.
