Biography

Mourning [A] BLKstar is a multi-generational, gender- and genre-non-conforming collective of Black culture dedicated to sharing stories and songs about Americas unfolding apocalypse. Their music blends live instrumentation with hip-hop production, creating sonic frequencies that illuminate the African Diaspora. Founded in Cleveland, the US-based Afrofuturist collective continues to tour their music globally across Europe and the US, playing festivals such as Crossing Borders in Berlin with Lonnie Holley, Big Ears Festival, and Le Guess Who? in Utrecht.

Concert venue

With the famous BIX Jazzclub, jazzopen stuttgart has a long-standing partner for intimate and high-quality jazz concerts. Whether up-and-coming talent or jazz star, the entire diversity of current jazz culture is presented here over nine days during the jazzopen festival.
